Claudia Jo Spore, 75

Claudia Jo Spore, 75, of Saint Francisville, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, at home, with her loving family by her side. She was born on October 11, 1949, in Salem, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald P. and Margaret (Carrell) Boswell. She met the love of her life, Terry Spore, in 1985, and after fifteen years of building a life together, they were united in marriage on January 1, 2000, at the St. Francisville Christian Church, and continued their love together for another twenty-five years.

Claudia was a career beautician for fifty-five years. She was an avid artist and painter and enjoyed collecting antiques to add to her surroundings. During her free time, she volunteered to teach others her skills. Claudia enjoyed decorating for the seasons and was always on the hunt to find new treasures. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her

Claudia leaves behind her beloved husband, Terry; sons, Thad Steffey, Rob (Lena) Steffey, Mike Steffey; grandchildren, Cole Steffey, Cody Steffey, Dustin Steffey, Ethan Steffey, Elisabeth Steffey, Makayla May, Marissa May, Tyler Steffey, Braxton May; great-grandchildren, Coleson Steffey, Mavrie Steffey, Landon Steffey, Kinley Steffey, Joseph “JT” May, Grason Blake May; sister, Paula Loper; niece and nephew, Rhonda and JT Wayne.

Claudia was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the St. Francisville Christian Church.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the St. Francisville Christian Church with pastor Jeremiah Mints officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Claudia’s memory to the First Christian Church of St. Francisville. Envelopes will be at the Church or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
