We traveled to Metropolis to play in a triangular with Massac County and Eldorado. It just takes 1 stroke and that's what we won by! Mt Carmel 166; Eldorado 167; Massac County 168.
For the team score we used Lola Meador's 51, Abby McBroom's 57 and Makenlee Seals' 58. Also playing were Sarah Ireland 64, Nona Pohl, and Reise Barns 67.
Congratulations to this team on their first win! Up next for the Lady Aces is Harrisburg next Tuesday.

Morning Show Interview With New Aces Boys Basketball Coach Kyle Buss
Kyle Buss was hired Monday night by the District #348 school board. He joined us on today’s Morning Show to talk about the new position. During the interview, Buss announced he would be stepping down as defensive coordinator for the Aces football team, but stay on as athletic director and Lady Aces softball coach.

Lewis Leads Lady Aces
Mt. Carmel sophomore, Leah Lewis, won the discus competition at the Sam Bennett Invitational hosted by Robinson High School on Friday. Lewis’ throw of 109 feet 3 inches came on her last throw of the event, setting a school record. In addition, Lewis placed 5th in the shot put with a throw of 30 feet 0.75 inches.
Also, scoring for the Lady Aces was Sarah McCorkle finishing 4th in the 100 meter dash (12.93), 4th in the long jump (14’9.75”) and 4th in the triple jump (33’2.5”). Zoie Randall finished out the scoring for the Lady Aces with a 5th place finish in the high jump (4’7.75”).
As a team, the Lady Aces placed 9th in the field of 16 teams.

McCorkle's Stellar Day Leads Lady Aces
Senior standout, Sarah McCorkle, had an outstanding afternoon winning both the long jump and triple jump and finishing 3rd in the 100 meter dash at the Lady Foxes Invitational on Monday. McCorkle’s efforts were instrumental in leading the Lady Aces Track team to a 5th place finish in the 15 team field.
