07/20/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 47 year old Troy D. Hickrod of Princeton after he was stopped by Mt. Carmel Police. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Hickrod was driving on a suspended driver's license and he was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Hickrod was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving suspended and he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Hickrod was held pending the posting of bond.
Probation Violation Lands Man In Jail
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 29 year old Danny Huffstetler of Mt. Carmel on a Wabash County warrant charging him with a probation violation. Police located Huffstetler in the 400 block of Cedar Street and placed him under arrest. Huffstetler was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of $300.00 cash bond.
Man Picked Up On FTA Warrant
07/19/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 24 year old Cory J. Walker of Mt. Carmel on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Police located Walker in the 600 block of Copp Avenue and placed him under arrest. Police transported Walker to the Wabash County Jail where he was served the $200.00 cash bond warrant. Walker was released after posting bond.
Farmers Crossing Fingers For Rain This Weekend
Rain is in the forecast today through the weekend and farmers locally are crossing their fingers that we do in fact see some showers. In fact, certified crop advisor Mike Wilson of Wabash Valley Service Company says a lot is riding on this weekend’s forecast….

Albion Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop
07/15/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 37 year old Burrell D. McDonald of Albion after he was stopped by Mt. Carmel Police. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Burrell was operating the 2004 Hyundai on a suspended driver's license. Burrell was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while license is suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. McDonald was held pending the posting of bond.
Woman Picked Up On Deceptive Practice Warrant
07/17/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 38 year old Michael L. Jones of Mt. Carmel. Jones was arrested after the arresting officer noticed her standing outside of her residence in the 1900 block of Cherry Street. The arresting officer knew Jones was wanted on a Wayne County deceptive practice warrant. Jones was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of bond.
Hiding In Trunk Doesn't Help Mt. Carmel Woman Avoid Arrest
07/18/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested two individuals after the vehicle they were in was stopped by the MCPD Officers. The arresting officer reported seeing 33 Hugh B. Beath, age 33, of Mt. Carmel operating a motor vehicle in the area of 9th and Cherry Street. The arresting officer knew the suspect was driving on a suspended driver's license and initiated a vehicle stop. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Beath had a female in the trunk of the vehicle. The female was identified as 30 year old Nicole I. Kimpling of Mt. Carmel. Kimpling was hiding in the truck because she was wanted on failure to appear warrants out of Lawrence County and Knox County. Both subjects were transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond. Beath was charged with driving while license is suspended, obstructing justice, and he was cited for possession of cannabis. Kimpling was charged with obstruction of justice, cited for possession of cannabis, and she was served the two warrants.

MCPD Charges Haubstadt Motorist & Passenger
07/19/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 34 year old Nathan M. Owen of Haubstadt, Indiana after the vehicle he was driving was stopped by Mt. Carmel Police. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Owen was diving on a suspended driver's license. Owens was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while license is suspended, improper display of registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Owens was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond. A passenger in the vehicle, Heather L. Dudley, age 34, of Mt. Carmel was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and was released.
