Indiana Won't Change Time Zones

You don't need to worry about Indiana changing time zones -- at least, not this year.

If you're in the Eastern Time Zone, you'll stay there -- for now, anyway. State lawmakers aren't going to take up the issue this year.

But life on Central Time wouldn't be THAT unusual for Hoosiers -- Indiana was on Central Time until 1965, and 12 counties remain in the Central Time Zone today.

Columbus Senator Greg Walker, who wrote the bill, says he will re-introduce it if he gets the chance. His bill was defeated this week before it could even get a vote on the Senate floor.

More than 500 area high school students filled the Brubeck Arts Center Theater this afternoon for the annual cadaver procedure performed by Wabash General Hospital surgeons. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Julko Fullop says the afternoon provided students with a look into something outside of a typical learning environment….

This year, orthopedic surgeons demonstrated an open fixation of a fracture to the students. WVC used the day as a recruiting tool for students to showcase their nursing program along with the anatomy and physiology classes.
